Sunday Night 9-18-05

Visited with my grandma today. She was recently in the hospital, but seemed to be doing well today. While she sometimes has been confused, she knew who I was today.

Yesterday, went to Lake Zurich, IL, for a free Jump5 concert at a family festival put on my Northwest Family Church, for the 5th anniversary. Sarah had a great time! She and her friends got to stand on the track, right next to the stage. Emily and I just watched from the bleachers. Other than some microphone problems, in the beginning, it was a great show! Sarah took 160 pictures! It was about a 2-1/2 hour drive to get down there.

Temperatures are finally beginning to cool off, finally. Since our air conditioning died, the hot days were pretty uncomfortable in our house, except for the bedroom. We had a hot summer this year. Milwaukee had 11 days of 90 degrees or higher this year. 2 of those were just last week!

Trees are starting to change color, too, although, it's early. I read that the trees are stressed because we have had a few dry summers in a row, now!

The other day, we had a 2-inch rainfall, though. Everyone's lawns are much greener. Some people lost electricity and had tree branches down. We only had a flicker of electricity loss and no trees or branches down. It was severe thunderstorm.
