Monday Madness 9-3-06

Happy Monday to everyone! Thanks for playing Monday Madness! Have a marvelous week! =)

1. Which holidays (if any) do you consider more as a day off from work, than anything else?
I guess mostly Labor Day.
2. Which 3 holidays are most celebrated in your family?
Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's (well, actually the Eve part!)
3. Do you have an organized filing system at home?
Organized? Filing? We do have a folder where the vet receipts go, though, so we can keep track of the dog's stuff. Around tax time, Gary gets envelopes set up to keep track of all the stuff we get in the mail, that we need for our taxes.
4. Do you clip coupons for groceries? If so, do you remember to use them? If not, why?
IF I bother to cut them out, I always forget to use them, so why bother. Now, we have the saver card, that they scan, so we don't need coupons, for most things. Sometimes, it ends up that the coupon isn't that good a deal. Sometimes there is another brand that is cheaper, despite the coupon.
5. How many magazines do you subscribe to?
Reader's Digest, Cooking Light, Time, Guideposts, and once in a while, Dogfancy and Horse Illustrated.
6. Do you play any computer games on a regular basis? If so, which is your favorite, and why?
Bejeweled, Hocus Pocus, Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, and 3 games from Everett Kaser software: Honeycomb Hotel, Sherlock, and Moriarty.

Oh wait, one more! Bubble Bees once I got about 9400 points, on the bee game, but haven't come anywhere close, since then! I keep track of my high scores, with a text file and screen shots. I'm rather obssessed!

I like all of these, because it's fun mindless activity to destress me, after a long day!
7. Have you watched any movies worth recommending, lately?
Cars, Akeelah and the Bee, and the first Pirates of the Caribbean. The last 2 were rentals. I'd never gotten around to seeing the first Pirate movie.

I DO like to read Reader's Digest--I may have to get another subscription--I had forgotten about that one.

We agree on the holidays (well except for the Eve part). I've never been much of a partier. ;)

Nice list! I so agree on coupons. Those are for people who had lots to spend to begin with! I guess I need to check out Cars the next time the granddaughter is in town! Happy Monday!
