Hazel, but when I was a kid, I always wished they were blue. I think it was the thing that my mom told me my eyes started out being blue, but then changed to a more greenish color. I didn't know that almost all newborns start out with blue eyes. When I drew pictures, as a kid, the children often had blue eyes.

How do you spend Christmas?
We get together with my side of the family, usually a little before Christmas. Then Christmas Eve, I make lasagna, that bakes while we are at church. After church, we eat lasagna, salad and French bread. After supper, I have to make my red and green jello mold for my in-laws' Christmas and an egg bake, for OUR Christmas breakfast. On Christmas Day, we open up our immediate family's presents, while the egg bake is baking. Then we eat breakfast.
About 3pm, we head to my SIL's house. We eat great food, enjoy great company, have loads of fun opening many presents one-at-a-time, and go home full and tired! She always has the same food every year, but every fall, or so, we already start looking forward to it! Sometimes, my SIL feels bad, that she isn't doing the meal, like Grandma would have, but she is gone on part of Christmas Day and can't make a turkey. We told her the ham sandwiches are fine! Don't change a thing!

It seems that you always have a busy schedule during Christmas. It must be wonderful to spend Christmas with people that matters most to you.
Oh, I love lasagna too. My family also shares a Christmas meal right after hearing mass. Exchanging gifts is another highlight of the evening.

What a wonderful Christmas celebration y'all have. Isn't it funny how we look forward to having things the same? My kids still want things exactly the way they were while they were growing up. Great personal song...sums up the way I feel about my hubby.
