Wednesday evening

Wow, what a gorgeous day! After about a week of hot and humid temps, today was only in the 70's and much less humid! We actually had the AC off and the windows open today!

HOT

It's 96 degrees here in Sheboygan, about a mile from Lake Michigan. Weather Underground today, insists that many lakeside communities will be MUCH cooler! HA

Partly cloudy. Highs in the upper 80s or lower 90s...but much cooler in many Lakeside locations. Southwest winds 10 to 20 mph. Heat index readings 93 to 98 away from the lake. (quoted from WU website at 2:30pm)

It's HOT here, today! We are grateful for air conditioning. I can only imagine what my poor daughter is doing at horse camp, in western WI. Those poor kids and horses! ugh. She will be glad to come home tomorrow, or not. I know I will be glad to have her home. She will miss the horses.

We could possibly get rain later today. I know that would SURE be nice! We are soooo dry!

Saw a movie today

I saw the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie today. I loved it, just like my 15yo said I would! LOL! Definitely need kleenex and will definitely laugh and cry! Definitely not a guy's movie, either! I don't think there were any guys in the theater with us! In attendance were my 13yo daughter, my sister and her 11yo daughter. They liked it, too.

Then we went out to eat, after the movie, too. I enjoyed our conversation! It was a fun spur-of-the-moment plan and we all had fun!

15yo Sarah is on her mission trip and 13yo Emily is still looking forward to horse camp! June is a busy month, here.

Graduation Day

My girlfriend's daughter graduated from high school today. With the threat of storms looming large, they decided to start the ceremony 45 minutes early. Since we arrived shortly before it started and the park was FULL of people, obviously the word got out! LOL!

As it turned out, it never did rain. We ended up with a gorgeous day!

It's Saturday morning and gorgeous outside. although, it looks like it's going to rain. We actually slept with the window open last night. The riding stable, where Emily has taken some riding lessons, is under new management and has an open house today. I will be taking her there, later. 2 weeks to horse camp and she can't wait!

Mowing Lawn again

Took me 2 hours over 2 nights, to mow the lawn. Sheesh. I like it better when Gary shares the task and we are both out there and it just doesn't seem to take as long! Of course, tonight had a little break in the middle, since a neighbor girl wanted to pet Jasmine and play with Jasmine for a little while.

So, it ended up being a 2-shower day. I was so grimy feeling after I was done mowing lawn, that I just had to take a shower. The lawn looks nice, though. I think Gary is going to have to put on some dandelion-killing stuff on it, though, since we still have so many dandelions!

Last Friday, June 27th, we ordered some new windows for our house. They will take 6 weeks to make and then 2 weeks or so to fit us into the schedule for installation. I can hardly wait. No more putting screens/storms up or down, depending on the season. We will just be able to open a window, when we want a breeze!
