Monday Madness 6-27-06

1. Do you own a digital camera?
Yes, we have a Canon Powershot G3 and a Canon Powershot A510
2. What is your camera of choice?
They both work fine, but the A510 is a smaller camera, so I think I like that one better. My daughter Sarah, would like a Canon S3-IS, though.
3. If you're a digital camera fan, do you print your own photos, or do you send them in to be printed? If you send them in, do you have a favorite place?
We usually pick which ones we want printed, burn a CD, and go to Walmart to have prints made. We also have sent the pictures in online, which saves you one part of the errand, since then you only have to go to the store, to pick them up.
4. How many pictures do you take a month?
I don't take that many, but Sarah is always taking pictures. Maybe 40-50 a month.
5. How many of those pictures actually get printed?
Not usually that many, unless there has been a special event. We had about 300 pictures printed, of our Niagara Falls vacation last year. We still need to sort through the pictures of our South Dakota vacation.
6. Are you planning on purchasing a new camera in the near future?
Sarah would like us, too! LOL! She has S3 lust really bad.

Monday Madness 6-19-06

1. How many cop shows can you name?
Hill Street Blues, Hawaii Five-O, Magnum PI, Miami Vice, Knight Rider, Dragnet, NYPD Blue, Kojak, Starsky and Hutch, Cagney and Lacy, A-Team, CSI, and Law and Order.
2. Do you send text messages?
No, because they are too expensive. At .10/message, that could add up after awhile, and it would cost us more per month, to have unlimited text messages. DH and I are old and think it's just easier to "say" the message, than it is to type it all out. DH also won't play along, with text messages and I don't know who else I would send a text message to!
3. If you could be on a gameshow (current or old), which one would you be on and why?
Wheel of Fortune, Pyramid, or Family Feud. I always enjoyed watching these shows and trying to guess the answers. It might have been fun to be there in person. Maybe Jeopardy, too. Although, I think one would have to study, to be on Jeopardy. For that, sometimes I knew the answers and sometimes I had absolutely no clue!

5. What are your favorite things about the internet?
That there is a wealth of information, right at my fingertips! Want song lyrics? Need a movie title? Want to know who played a certain role, in a movie? When did the movie come out? You can read the comics, catch up on the news, check the weather, keep up with friends, all on the internet. I also love being able to check the library's card catalogue, at home and put books on reserve, at home! I love being able to order things online, although sometimes, it's hard to wait for them to come!
6. What about least favorite?
I suppose that the risk of identity theft is never all that far away, or that once in a while, you can't find the information you want, no matter how hard you try. It also takes up a lot of time, that I probably should spend doing something else, like cleaning my house, or walking my dog!
7. What are some good ways to deal with a pet loss?
Keep pictures around of your beloved pet. Maybe spread their ashes in a special spot. We kept the collar and tags, from the dog we had to put down, about 2 years ago. People on my dog board, too, were very supportive, after we had to put Honey down. Also, don't be afraid to have a good cry, now and then.

Monday Madness 6-12-06

1. I have a picture of _the moon rising(one that comes with windows)_ on my computer desktop.
2. There are _2_ pictures hanging on my living room walls.
3. My big goal for this week is to _have a good time on my South Dakota vacation_.
4. I plan to visit _0 (I'm on vacation)_ blogs this week.
5. The weather we're having right now is _warm, but it's summer (On Sunday, it was soooo cold!)_.
6. I really should _blog_ more often.

Monday Madness 6-5-06

1. I have broken _1 (It was the very bottom of my tibia, or the larger bone in your lower leg! I was 15.)_ bone in my lifetime.
2. I have had to get _a few (I was a klutzy kid, about 4 times that I remember)_ stitches.
3. The worst I've ever injured myself was when _when I broke my leg_.
4. I've had to go to the Emergency room _numerous times (hit my head in bathroom, walked into counter at a drive-in, a log fell on my head, fell with my bike and hit my head, the broken leg incident, and getting my fingers caught in a closing door, when I was a senior in high school)_ times.
5. On a scale of 1 (being the highest) to 10 (being the lowest), my pain tolerance is a _7-8 (I like my advil, when I'm in pain. I needed an epidural, when I had my kids. OUCH! I took pain meds after my c-sections, but I didn't need them all that long.)_.
