Welcome!

T'was the night before school started when all through the town the parents were cheering. It was a riotous sound. By eight the kids were tucked into bed when visions of homework filled them with dread. New pencils, new folders, new notebooks, too. New teachers, new friends, their anxiety grew. The parents just giggled when they learned of this fright, and shouted upstairs, Go To Bed! It's A School Night!!

In some ways, I'm glad that school starts at the end of the summer, but yet I'm sad too because the endless mornings of sleeping late have come to a screeching halt! This year, both girls are in high school.  Sarah's a senior and Emily's a freshman!  The good news is that I only have to drive to one school now, in the mornings!  The school run should only take about 20 minutes, instead of 30!  I just don't know how my kids got here so fast!  Seems like just yesterday, they were both starting kindergarten!

The other cool thing is they have brand-new gyms this year!  I can't wait to see them at the open house, in November!  I'm sure we'll go take in a basketball game or two, to hear the pep band play!  LOL!
